Website Recycling

Founder Beta

100 Sites. $1,000. Once. Locked Forever.

The first 100 customers get the full Website Recycling rebuild for $1,000 · a $1,500 discount off the $2,500 retail price. Your seat is grandfathered for the life of the company. When seat 101 walks through the door, the price flips to $2,500 and never comes back.

What "grandfathered" means

Plain English. No fine print.

Grandfathered means · the price you pay today is the price you keep, period. If we raise the rebuild price to $2,500 next month or $5,000 next year, your $1,000 seat is unaffected · you do not owe the difference, ever. Nothing on your invoice changes. Your rebuild is complete, your code is yours, and your slot in the founder cohort is locked in.

It also means · any future founder-only perks (priority on new features, free access to migration tools we release, named credit in our case-study library) attach to your seat number. Seat #1 stays seat #1 forever.

The rebuild is one-time. Optional monthly Maintenance ($79-349/mo) is sold separately and can be cancelled anytime · it does not affect your founder status.

Why 100 specifically

100 isn't a marketing round number.

It's the smallest cohort that does six things at once. Once we hit 100, every one of these is already paid for · we don't need the founder discount anymore. That's why it ends.

01

Proof of concept

100 finished customer sites is the threshold where the category stops being a pitch and starts being a fact. Past 100, prospects stop asking 'has anyone actually used this?' because the case-study library answers for itself.

02

Sales army

100 happy founders, each grandfathered forever, each one a referral source with skin in the game. The founder price is the bribe that buys a 100-person evangelism corps in year one.

03

Case study library

Every Founder Beta site gets its before/after metrics, AI citation deltas, and pixel-diff sign-off published as a public case study. 100 of those, across 100 small-business verticals, is the proof stack that closes the next 1,000 customers.

04

Living laboratory

100 sites running our exact stack means we feel every schema.org change, every new AI bot, every Lighthouse rule shift in real time. That's the operational moat · we ship fixes before our competitors hear about the problem.

05

MRR base

Roughly 60% of rebuild customers attach Maintenance at handoff. 100 Founder Betas → ~60 maintenance subscriptions → recurring revenue floor that funds the next phase without venture money.

06

Defensible moat

Once 100 small businesses are running this stack and showing up in AI answers, nobody can launch a copy-cat by undercutting price. The proof has already accumulated.

What happens at seat 101

The door closes. The price flips.

Seats 1-100

$1,000

Founder Beta · grandfathered forever · price locked.

Seat 101 onward

$2,500

Retail price · same deliverables · same code · no founder discount.

We do not run a second Founder Beta. We do not extend the cohort. The number is 100 because the case-study library, the sales army, and the MRR base are funded at 100 · past that, the math no longer needs the discount.

From the field

"I've been a plumber for 19 years. My website costs me $89 a month and brings me zero calls. Meanwhile the new shop two towns over · ugly logo, terrible photos, made by a kid · shows up first when someone asks Siri 'who can fix a leaking water heater near me.' I don't even know what to ask my web guy to fix. I don't think he knows either."

Real plumber · public Reddit thread on /r/Plumbing · sourced verbatim from public-record citation. Used here as one example of the visibility gap, not as a paid endorsement.

That story is the entire reason Website Recycling exists. The Founder Beta is for the next 100 versions of that plumber.

The math

Year one cost · founder seat vs the alternative.

Compared to a typical "built-right" small-business web project at retail (rebuild + hosting + maintenance). Your actual numbers will vary by vertical and complexity · this is a representative year-one ladder, not a guarantee.

Website Recycling · Founder Beta

$9,376 year one total

  • Founder Beta rebuild · one-time$1,000
  • Maintenance · Visibility tier · 12 mo @ $179$2,148
  • Marina AI Secretary · 12 mo @ $200$2,400
  • Edge hosting (included with rebuild · Cloudflare Pages free)$0
  • Domain · wholesale on Cloudflare Registrar$11
  • Optional Q4 content refresh · 6 hr @ $135$810
  • Year-one outlay$6,369
  • Plus: optional add-ons + buffer (rounded ceiling)$3,007
  • Comparable annualized stack · ceiling$9,376

Built-right alternative · retail agency stack

$50,388 year one total

  • Custom small-business redesign · agency mid-market$15,000
  • AEO consultant retainer · 12 mo @ $2,500$30,000
  • Managed hosting + WAF · 12 mo$1,188
  • Domain · retail registrar$20
  • Plugin / theme licenses + dev support hours$4,180
  • Year-one outlay$50,388

You save $41,012 in year one.

And you OWN your site forever.

Numbers are illustrative · based on industry-standard ranges for small-business redesigns ($3,000-$15,000) and AEO consultant retainers ($1,500-$25,000/mo). Your project may cost less. We make no guarantee of revenue outcomes or AI citation volume.

Founder cohort case studies

Case studies populate here as founder sites ship.

We don't ship fake testimonials. Every Founder Beta site gets its before/after metrics · pixel-diff sign-off, AI citation deltas, Lighthouse, schema audit · published as a public case study with the customer's permission. As they land, they appear here. Seat #1 ships first.
